Cini Boeri


Graduated at Milan Polytechnic in 1951. After a long period of collaboration with Marco Zanuso, she set up her own studio in 1963, applying herself to civil architecture and industrial design.

Her architectural projects in Italy and abroad, published in many architecture magazines and books, include apartments, houses, shops, showrooms, office buildings, museums. She has devoted particular attention to the function of the house, focusing on the psychological relationship between man and his habitat. In the field of industrial design her project work has been aimed at the search for everything that can improve and simplify our way of living. Many of her projects can be seen at international exhibitions and museums all over the world.

She has lectured at various universities and institutions in Italy and abroad. Between 1981 and 1983 she was visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic, holding courses on "Architectural Planning" and "Industrial Design Interior Design".

She was a member of the Board of Administration of the XVI Triennale di Milano.
In 1986 she took part in the exhibition "Progetto domestico" held during the XVII Milan Triennale. She has participated in numerous juries for international competitions.

As well as many articles in specialized reviews, she has written the book “Le dimensioni umane dell'abitazione” (The human dimensions of the house - Franco Angeli, Milan 1980) and the essays "La dimensione del domestico" (Domestic dimension - in M.Bertoldini), "La casa tra tecniche e sogno" (House between technics and dream - Franco Angeli, Milan 1988) and "Progettista e committente" (Architect and purchaser - in M.Bertoldini), "L'atto progettuale, Struttura e percorsi" (Project act, structure and grounds - CittàStudi, Milan 1991) and “Cini Boeri - architetto e designer” by Cecilia Avogadro (Silvana Editoriale, Milan  2004).
