Jean Nouvel


Jean Nouvel lives and works in Paris, where he graduated from the Beaux-Arts school in 1972.

 Architect, town-planner and designer, he received the Silver Set-Square award for the Arab World Institute in 1987, and for the Lyon Opera House in 1993. He won the gold medal from the Accademia di Architettura in 1999, and the ³Leone d¹Oro² at the Biennale of Venice in 2000. Among his most important projects are: the Tours Congress Centre, France 1994, the Cartier Foundation, Paris 1995, the Lafayette Gallery, Berlin 1996, the Lucerne Cultural Centre, Switzerland 1999, and the Nantes Court Complex, France 2000.
